I am a retired executive Director of the Weatherization Program with the Department of Energy.  Reginald was also the Director of the Piedmont Service Corps. He has served as Program Director for the past 27 years and with the workforce development department for 28 years.  In this capacity he was able to grow this fledging “project” in to a full-service program serving young men and women of the Winston-Salem area.  His program has met with such success that in January of 2005, it was expanded into neighboring counties.  Before that, he was the Youth Program Coordinator for the City of Winston Salem.  His professional development has allowed him to receive certificates from UNC-CH and most recently a certificate as a career development facilitator.  He has received a number of awards, most notably the Prestigious Outstanding Young Man of America Award and Recipient of the Order of the Long Leaf Pine (which is the highest award given to a civilian in the state of North Carolina.

Reginald is very active in his community serving as local and state president of his fraternity, Phi Beta Sigma.  He has been active in several organizations, including Boy Scouts of America, Forsyth Court Volunteers, Southeast Winston Rescue Squad and Habitat for Humanity. He currently sits on the board of several organizations.

Music has always been a big part of his life.  In his youth, Reginald was a part of several church and community choirs, mostly notably the William Raines Senior High School Chorale, a group recognized for its vocal accomplishments across the South.   During college he was a member of the Winston Salem State University Choir, Scholar Cantorum, and University Singers.  He is an l985 graduate of Winston Salem State University where he majored in Political Science and minored in Music with a concentration in Voice.
